Tojo was once again awarded as a 'Major German Brand' (formerly: 'Große Deutsche Marke'). In the presence of over 100 selected guests from industry, politics, and culture, the winners were honored during a festive design gala in Berlin, and the compendium 'The Major German Brands 2026' was presented, which this year carries the theme 'transformative power of design.' CEO Gerald Schatz is pleased about the renewed recognition.
The series The Major German Brands by the German Design Council (Rat für Formgebung) has been presenting outstanding brands since 2013. The German Design Council is an authority on design in Germany and brings together business representatives with design professionals to use design as a lever for transformation and economic success. Through conferences, consulting, research, support for young talent, and awards, awareness of the impact of design is promoted in politics and business. Today, over 330 of Germany's most important companies are part of the German Design Council's foundation circle.
