For Bastian Prieler, every idea begins with the search for an individual and idiosyncratic character that accomplishes the task “as little as necessary, as precisely as possible”. Dealing with emotional impact in the search for meaning, the targeted use of materials, unconventional functionalist thinking in ergonomics and technology play a central role in the development process. After an apprenticeship as a carpenter, he studied interior architecture and object design.
He was twice awarded the state government's Master Craftsman Award and the Gold Medal of Merit.
